What We Do

A Non-Profit Mission to End Child Sex Slavery

Remember Nhu is a non-profit mission working to end child sex slavery through prevention. We identify children who are most at risk and provide the safety, support, and stability needed to protect their futures before exploitation can occur. Our long-term prevention model helps children grow up safe, educated, and free from the dangers that threaten their well-being.

We serve in communities across the world where children face heightened vulnerability. By meeting practical needs, strengthening families, and offering safe homes when needed, we reduce the factors that make children targets for exploitation.

Vocational Training

For children in our homes who are not college-bound, vocational training can be their hope-filled alternative to college. Volunteer instructors pass on their skills in sewing, woodworking, jewelry-making, baking, and more to our young adults.

Global Mission, Local Leadership

We operate in countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Each program is led by local teams who understand the cultural, social, and economic realities facing vulnerable children. This ensures effective prevention and long-term sustainability.

  • 17,000+ children have been protected from being sold
  • Working in 20 countries to stop trafficking at its source
  • 20,000+ children reached through preventive education

HOW

Prevention Homes

Remember Nhu protects vulnerable children from dangerous conditions by placing them into children’s homes run by indigenous house parents, with monthly costs for the children funded by sponsorship.

Family Restoration

The goal of Family Restoration is to remove risk factors from the child’s environment. We make long-term investments, not only in the safety of the child, but also in the restoration of the child’s family, which in the long term is best for the child’s overall health.

Foster Care

In countries where Remember Nhu is unable to start prevention homes or family restoration programs, there is opportunity to keep at-risk children safe by pairing them with loving foster families through the local indigenous church.

Education

One of the ways Remember Nhu is able to keep children safe is through preventative education, teaching children both in schools and online to be aware of the dangers of child sex trafficking, so they can avoid exploitation while also helping their peers to be safe.

Child Sponsorship

Through child sponsorship, individuals help provide safe housing, education, food, medical care, and protective support. Sponsorship creates the stability that keeps each child safe today and strengthens their future independence.
